LUDT Affiliation

For the Affiliated Schools. An international point of reference!

In the anonymous context of the Dance Schools, the LUDT Affiliation is the guarantee of professionalism and teaching quality, a firm assurance for your students’ parents, and a useful support to Teachers who would like to be always refreshed on the didactics and management topics. That is why the LUDT has decided to open selections to find Fine and Top Quality Dance Schools in Europe and in the United States, worthy to get the prestigious “LUDT Affiliation”.

The high-status “LUDT Affiliation” has many advantages for the Affiliated Schools. Your school could take part in the International LUDT network!
Just to get an idea...

• Your Dance students will benefit directly: attending your courses, Dance students will gain LUDT Credits, exploitable for their Dance and scholastic career (from high school to the University). In this way, you can offer to your Students an incentive to continue following your School’s courses, avoiding the typical fall of attendance among middle-age and adult students;
• After a selection by a mixed Commission (two Teachers of your School and one LUDT expert), every year some of your Students can spend a period of study in our Professional Schools in Italy or with our International Dance Partners in New York (United States); Timisoara (Romania); Tirana (Albania);
• Every year you will have at your disposal some scholarships (the number will be defined year by year) for the International Program “Performing in New York” (one month) or the International Summer School “Dance in Italy!” (15 days): you can offer to your Students an international perspective!
• Taking part in the LUDT international network, thanks to our coordination, you can promote “Dance exchanges” from/to our LUDT Patronage and Affiliated Schools in Italy or abroad;
• On request, you will have at your disposal an LUDT Commission in order to make exams to your Students: they will receive an International Certification of Dance Preparation. In this way, you can guarantee to your students a high and constant level of qualification: your school will become more competitive on the local ground!
• The LUDT will offer you freely an advisory service in matter of Dance Programs, Organization of Shows and Competitions;
• You will have the possibility to host the International Edition of the Worldly Competition “DanzaEuropa”, which attracted every year more than 1000 participants;
• Participating in the LUDT initiatives (International Competitions, Festivals, Shows) with special reduction;
• Having the possibility to organize International Stages with our Prestigious International Artists, coming from everywhere in the world, with special conventions;
• Becoming a point of International reference: you will have the possibility to welcome LUDT international paying students and LUDT trainers.
In the near future, after a further selection, you will have also the possibility to get the Exclusive “LUDT Patronage” which means, above the advantaged already mentioned having the possibility to organize, with the free LUDT support,
• Professional Courses for Dancers;
• Courses for “Dance Teaching Assistance”;
• Study Courses for Teaching.

How to get the LUDT Affiliation

You should send:

• the Application Form compiled (the Form is attached in the email you have received) in a unique file;
• the Artistic Curriculum Vitae of the Artistic Director or Artistic Manager or Main Teacher of your School;
• the list of the courses that your school propose;
• the list of your teachers;
• the list of Art activities of the School (if they are different from the Dance courses).

All those documents (but the Application Form) should be in the sent in the same file, called “AffiliationProposal+NAME OF YOUR SCHOOL” (ex. AffiliationProposalSCHOOLDANCE), to Dr. Silvia Cominotti, Affiliation and Patronage Office at the email address info@ludt.org

The cost of the “Affiliation” is 300 euros per year plus 15 euros for the selection procedure; write to otherlanguages@ludt.org to know if in your area there are special conditions.

After the LUDT confirmation’s admission, our Secretariat will send you the bank details for the “Affiliation fee”.

Your Application will be evaluated by the LUDT Board which convenes twice per week.
The outcome will let you know in one week at the most.
