International Competition DanzaEuropa – Edition XIX

From 3rd to 5th of April, 2009

Since 1987, the LUDT organizes the International Competition DanzaEuropa, a dance contest which has seen more than ten thousand dancers on the most beautiful stages of Italy. From Mantua, to Bologna, Verona, Merano, Cormons, Valenza, Salerno, Palermo, Catania to the San Marino’s Republic, host in charge, European and non EC citizens dancers take part in this international contest: Italians, French, Greeks, Albanians, Romanians, Croatians, Brazilians, Argentines, Russians dancers have participated in our competition, making the DanzaEuropa unique in the world. The Organization decision to promote dancers formation has constituted a bridge for a new career to many young dancers.

During its past editions, the International Competition DanzaEuropa has obtained, the Patronage of many Institutions, among them we quote the most recent:

  • Italian European Policy Ministry;
  • Italian University and Research Ministry;
  • Italian Ministry for Italians in the world;
  • Italian Infrastructures and Transport Ministry;
  • VII Commission of Culture, Deputy Assembly;
  • Equal Opportunities Ministry;
  • San Marino’s Republic Presidency;
  • Ajkun Ballet Theatre;
  • WDA World Dance Alliance Europe.
During DanzaEuropa previous editions, some art and political esponents have taken part in the Comitato d’Onore del Concorso DanzaEuropa, among them:

  • Ministro delle Infrastrutture e dei Trasporti;
  • Senatore Luigi Compagna;
  • On.Valentina Aprea, Ministero dell’Istruzione, dell’Università e della Ricerca;

  • Sen. Anna Donati, membro della Commissione permanente Politiche dell’Unione Europea;
  • On. Mario Pescante, Sottosegretario di Stato, Ministero per i Beni e le Attività Culturali;
