LUDT study courses

Since the mid-1990s, the LUDT had ideated a particular structure, which allowed foreign students to enroll at the LUDT, thanks to “tele-studying”. The LUDT maintains its central administrative office in Mantua, but offers to you the possibility to study from your mother/residence town thanks to International periodical Stages and Summer Schools, in Italy and abroad. The LUDT provides for every necessity:

The attendance is not compulsory. You will download issues for the year you are enrolled at, directly on your computer. The issues are prepared by our teachers’ team, in order to facilitate your study and focus on themes really important for a potential Dance Teacher.
The issues (whether download by our website or sent by email) are completely free! They are included in the fee you yearly pay to LUDT.
Moreover, our teachers are always available by mail to answer your questions concerning programs and texts. Let’s have a look to the new Conversation thread to LUDT. Our Permanent Board and our Visiting Professors will be always available for a didactical support.

Once more, we use new technologies to make your study easier. You will be tested by internet, thanks to Skype (with a system more guaranteed and direct, avoiding cheats!). You will just send us an email, one month before, asking for being tested the day you have chosen. According to the availability of our teachers, you will have your personal test when you are prepared! Your marks will be entered in your LUDT personal booklet, stored at the LUDT main office.

The LUDT offers to you the possibility to join to our Summer Session of intensive study Dance in Italy!, held in wonderful resorts on Italian sea. The summer session is instituted since seven years: you will attend courses by the best Italian and foreign teachers concerning dance subjects. During this period of 15 days, you will study intensively dance of all kinds, enjoying Italian hospitality, landscapes and food (!), and meeting Italian and foreign students like you! The attendance of the intensive Summer Session is completely free. It is included in the fee and tax you pay to LUDT.

Nowadays, if you want to be more specialized than others you need something other people don’t have. An Advanced Course is an answer. Our American Advanced Course is your answer. From five years onwards, our Masteri course is located in the United States, where new artistic trends are improving European ballet tradition. Our choice is made in order to answer to the growing competition of the dancers’ market in the best way. The Ajkun Ballet Theatre is our American partner, referent of advanced courses. Every year, during the International Competition DanzaEuropa, event created and organized by the LUDT in Italy, 5 scholarships are assigned to particularly talented people.

More than 90% of LUDT Students have found an occupation as dance/theatre choreographer by one year from the end of their LUDT studies.
